Volunteers—to make a positive impact for your people and homeland

Unlike Member category which is open to any Naga person, the Volunteers of The Naga Rising will be selected through a rigorous vetting process. Thus by becoming a volunteer for The Naga Rising, a person has automatically agreed to the vision and principle of the movement.

However, unlike a Member, the Volunteer is expected to perform other roles and responsibilities given by the organization. As a Volunteer you’re to understand that your community and homeland requires your free and selfless service.

A Volunteer should be above the age of 18 and below 60 years.

Will be expected to take part in civic and community engagement that The Naga Rising undertakes

As a Volunteer you will make a positive impact for your people and homeland by sharing your knowledge of the community and their needs and bring an insider’s understanding of social and economic conditions.

The Volunteer should be ready to undertake challenging activities which may put tremendous strain on the physical body as well the mind.

The Volunteer is expected to understand that he/she is the bulwark of the organization and is expected to defend, guard and protect the vision of The Naga Rising against any exigency.

The types of activities in which Volunteers engage may include:

• strengthening capacities of local communities so they can participate effectively in our activities;
• fostering social inclusion and empowerment within the community;
• promoting sustainability and local ownership of our activities;
• promoting and undertaking social service activities;
• actively engaging and assisting in holding seminars and meetings related to the vision of The Naga Rising;

The basic guidelines mentioned for Member category applies to a Volunteer.

However, the Volunteer is expected to abide by the following guidelines, affirm it by signing and upload the form (which will not be displayed on the website). Once the form has been uploaded, the vetting process will begin and the final call intimated to the potential Volunteer.

1. I understand that I am called to radically imbibe, understand, obey and implement the ideology, vision, and belief system of The Naga Rising.
2. I understand that any system without morality leads to decadence.
3. I understand that our role in any system is to promote peace and restrain evil;
4. I understand that my calling is to bring about a just social and political order in Nagaland.
5. I understand that once I become a member of the TNR, I’ve sworn an allegiance to this organization and my continued presence in other ideological bodies, such as, a political party, is in dissonance with the vision and ideology of this body and a stumbling block to the organization.
6. I understand that leadership is about commitment and integrity.
7. I understand that leadership in any system or organization is about Godly submission to authority.
8. I understand that to be a member of the TNR, I’ve to be an active participant in all its activities.
9. I understand that I am free to leave the organization at any point of time without bringing it into disrepute.
10. I promise that I will give honest and able leadership in any capacity.
11. I promise that I will be fair and transparent in my dealings, either with my colleagues or as an ambassador representing this organization.
12. I believe and will abide and uphold the honourable principle of “All for One and One for All.”
13. I will, in all my decisions, uphold my Christian values, morals and tenets.
