Nothing remains the same. Out of the ashes and ruins there always arises the Phoenix with vigor and renewed imagination. Will The Naga Rising be the Phoenix for this generation of Nagas? I truly hope so!

There is already a great sense of empowerment that is arising from the “Guiding Light” of the Naga Rising and that is the dream that all Nagas share. And so take the charge!!!

Rev. Dr. Wati Aier

The concept of The Naga Rising reconstruction is of an urgent need today in Nagaland. Divided as we may be by conflicting and manmade boundaries, the Naga identity should be clear and devoid of any socio-economic or political misinterpretations.

As such, The Naga Rising can bring reconstruction and durable peace, and this can be done with the Naga people coming together hopefully fulfilling our Nagas aspirations and God’s plans for the Nagas.

May our good Lord bless and guide The Naga Rising

 Rev. Y. Chingang Konyak

Secretary of the Konyak Literature Committee

I came to know that The Naga Rising is in the offing and launching after few days in the midst of unpredictable situation prevailed in our land. Nagas, in general talk about disunity among the Undergrounds forgetting disunity among the civil society. As we all know that Nagas are divided in every conceivable terms. We should not confine within a cocoon of separatism ideology of Tribalism. We need to breakthrough and hatch out from this tribal isolationism. There is sharp division among the Naga National workers, simultaneously; the Naga civil society is fragmented like a broken earthen pot.

In the midst of this divisiveness, there is no pivotal force to foster unity and reconstruct our broken family. Peace and reconciliation in our society is paramount importance at this juncture. I extend my profound thanks and congratulation to the organizing committee of The Naga Rising who had vision for the Nagas future generation. You may face criticism but it is said, the Great commission of Jesus Christ could not have been accomplished without suffering. Peace and reconciliation is absolutely necessary to achieve our common destiny.

Let us learn to live together or we perish together like fools—Late. Martin Luther King Jr
